Jairo Agenjo Trigos
Jairo Agenjo Trigos (born 29 April 2008) is a Spanish taekwondo practitioner. Competing in the men's 54 kg division, Agenjo won the gold medal at the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships. At junior level, he won the silver medal at the 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships and the gold medal at the 2025 European Junior Taekwondo Championships.
Career
Agenjo represented Spain in international tournaments from the junior age categories onward. In 2024, he won the silver medal in the men's 48 kg event at the 2024 World Taekwondo Junior Championships held in Chuncheon, South Korea. The same year, he won the bronze medal in the 54 kg event at the European U21 Taekwondo Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 2025, Agenjo won the gold medal in the men's 51 kg event at the European Junior Taekwondo Championships held in Aigle, Switzerland. He defeated Artiom Rosca in the final to become European junior champion. The same year, he won a senior-level gold medal at the Dutch Open.
In 2026, Agenjo won the gold medal in the men's 54 kg event at the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships held in Munich, Germany. He defeated Estonia's Fayez Hanafy in the first round, Turkey's Kaan Yelaldı in the round of 16, Bulgaria's Hristiyan Georgiev in the quarter-finals and Greece's Aristeidis Nikolaos Psarros 2–0 in the semi-finals. In the final, he beat Italy's Gaetano Cirivello 2–0 to win his first senior European title.
Personal life
Agenjo was born on 29 April 2008 in Villajoyosa, in the province of Alicante, Spain. He trained at Taekwondo Finestrat under Juan José González Pastor.
