Magdalena Głodek

Magdalena Głodek (born 21 October 1999), also known as Magdalena Urszula Głodek-Liszewska, is a Polish freestyle wrestler. Competing in the 57 kg weight class, Głodek won the gold medal at the 2026 European Wrestling Championships.

Career

Głodek achieved one of her first major international results at junior level at the 2019 World Junior Wrestling Championships, where she won the bronze medal in the women's freestyle 57 kg event.

In 2020, she finished third in the women's freestyle 59 kg event at the individual Wrestling World Cup held in Belgrade.

In 2022, Głodek won silver medals in the women's freestyle 59 kg event at the 2022 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Plovdiv and at the 2022 U23 World Wrestling Championships in Pontevedra.

At senior level, she finished 12th at the 2020 European Wrestling Championships, eighth at the 2023 European Wrestling Championships and seventh at the 2025 European Wrestling Championships. At the World Championships, she finished 20th at the 2024 World Wrestling Championships and 16th at the 2025 World Wrestling Championships.

At the Polish Championships, Głodek won gold medals in 2025 and 2026. She had previously finished second in 2017, 2020 and 2022, and third in 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2023.

At the 2026 European Wrestling Championships held in Tirana, Albania, Głodek won the gold medal in the women's freestyle 57 kg event. She defeated Norway's Felicitas Domajeva by fall while leading 2–0 in the round of 16, and Ukraine's Solomiia Vynnyk by fall while leading 6–0 in the quarter-finals. She then defeated Sweden's Evelina Hulthén in the semi-finals to reach the final. In the final, she beat Turkey's Elvira Kamaloğlu 5–1 to become European champion.

Personal life

Głodek is from Zelgoszcz. She graduated from WSB Merito University in Gdańsk. Her coach is Adam Blok. She serves as a soldier in the Polish Armed Forces.
