Zack Mexico is a North Carolina based Ambient, Indie Rock band formed in Kill Devil Hills by John Saturley, Jamie Brumbeloe, and Joey LaFountaine in 2011. Matt Wentz joined Zack Mexico in 2012, Josh Martier in 2014 and TJ Harrington returned in 2015. Individual members have taught music, played professionally, and /or composed music for ten to sixteen years each. Their songs are original written and composed by the band. Josh Martier grew up in a family of professional musicians. Matt Wentz, guitarist for Zack Mexico and a guitar teacher had the good fortune of studying with Jazz guitarist Joe Mapp from the age of 10.
