Shondell Busby

Shondell Busby (born on May 31, 1984 in Toronto) is a Canadian soccer player who recently played for North York Astros in the Canadian Soccer League.
Playing career
Shondell began playing soccer at the youth level with the Toronto Azzuri. During his tenure with the Azzuri Busby won the Ontario Cup three years in a row from 2002 till 2004. In 2004 Busby signed a scholarship with Francis Marion University. In his rookie season he led his team in scoring, and earned Peach Belt All Tournament Team honors in his sophomore season. On May 5, 2007 University of Maryland, Baltimore County recruited him for the 2007 season.
In the CSL 2009 season Busby was recruited by North York Astros head coach Vladimir Klinovsky. In the earlier part of the season Busby mostly saw action in the reserve division. Due to injuries and new management during the season Busby, made his first full Astros debut on August 22, 2009 against London City in a 3-2 victory at home, as while recording his first professional goal. Though he impressed in his debut match Busby would mostly be confined to the bench for most of the season. Mostly appearing in the reserve division matches where he would help the Astros II reach the semifinals, until being eliminated by eventual champions TFC Academy II.
