Jason Cedric Mpununu (born 12 March 1986 in Tours) is a Congolese footballer who recently played for North York Astros in the Canadian Soccer League. Playing career Mpununu began his career at the youth level for FC Tours and then started his professional career in Canada with the London City in 2008 and signed than for North York Astros of the Canadian Soccer League in the 2009 season. He made his debut on August 14, 2009 against defending champions the Serbian White Eagles. Mpununu recorded his first goal for the Astros against London City in a 4-1 victory. Despite his efforts the Astros failed to achieve their repeat of last seasons success on the field, and finished second last in the National Division. In total he appeared in 11 matches and recorded one goal in his rookie season with the Astros. |
