Stefan Zlatanov

Stefan Zlatanov (born 14 July 1983 in Sofia, Bulgaria) is a Canadian soccer player who currently plays for York Lions.
Playing career
Zlatanov began his career as a youth player with North York Hearts, the reserve team for the North York Astros. He made his Hearts debut on May 30, 2009 in a match against Unionville FC. Due to injuries and new management during the Astros 2009 season Zlatanov made his first full Astros debut on July 6, 2009 in a 2-2 draw versus the St. Catharines Wolves, he contributed by scoring his first career goal that helped the Astros achieve their first point of the 2009 season. Unfortunately under Vladimir Klinovsky he was largely confined to the bench for most of the season. In total he appeared four matches and scored one goal.
He mostly appeared in the reserve division matches where he would help the Hearts reach the semifinals, until being eliminated by eventual champions TFC Academy II.
Personal life
Zlatanov is currently studying Kinesiology and Health Science at York University.
