D7 Church History D7 Church<ref name="Local Newspaper Archives" /> is a Christian Church and is located in Gloucester, England. The church's senior pastors, Eric and Angela De Souza, began the church in 2009 with the registered name of D7 Community Church, but is known as either - the community division of the church or - the church division of D7 Community Church. D7 Church is currently meeting at the Gloucester Guildhall on Sundays from 11:30 am. After a meeting with GAVCA on 18th November 2010, D7 Church announced it's specific focus on the Westgate Ward - a . According to research done by MAIDeN, this ward has been rated as one of the most deprived areas in the UK. Music Within the first year of D7 Church operating, was formed. D7 Music is a division which focuses on the music side of the church and it's lable to the church band known as D7 Band. Before D7 Church celebrated their first anniversary they had already celebrated their debut album release. King's Square was released in August on iTunes<ref name="iTunes" /> and on 4 September 2010 and officially dedicated to the city of Gloucester<ref name="CD Dedication" /><ref name="CD Dedication II" />. On 27 September 2010, city mayor of Gloucester, Janet Lugg, officially received the King's Square CD as a gift to the city<ref name="King's Square Dedication" />. The album artwork on the King's Square CD comes from the 2009 Christmas art that is displayed in the city square of Gloucester. King's Square, the album title, is named after the Gloucester city square named by the same name. D7 Band went to great lengths to ensure that their debut album clearly reflected and represented Gloucester. BBC featured the band on BBC Radio Gloucestershire on 22 August 2010<ref name="BBC August" /> and likened the band to The Beatles both on and off air. Community D7 Community was formed as a community division of D7 Church in order to work in partnership with the Gloucester Council to rebuild the reputation of the city of Gloucester. The strategy is a simple stategy of pointing out the best aspects of Gloucester rather than focus on the negatives. Using the broken windows theory, D7 Community have committed to a long term plan of restoring the cities pride in its historical beauty, it's docks and the many other strong points of the city.
