A Silent Film is a Oxford four-piece piano rock English based band formed in 2005. They have released their first EP in 2007, The Projectionist, recorded in two months in northern France featuring "Thirteen Times the Strength" as their first single. Their debut album, The City That Sleeps, was released in October 6th, 2008 in Europe. Singles from the album include "You Will Leave a Mark", "Sleeping Pills" and "Lamplight". A Silent Film's song "You Will Leave a Mark" was iTunes Discovery Download for the first week of June 2010. "You Will Leave a Mark" has also attracted attention in Portugual, and has been used in the U.K. in UKTV advertisements. A Silent Film made their American radio debut September 27, 2010 when they played Radio 104.5 in Philadelphia. They had there first American show September 25, 2010 in Bonner Springs Kansas. |
