Chasing Dixie

Chasing Dixie is an American Country girl group. The girls formed in 2008 and consists of American Idol Season 7 Finalist Alaina Whitaker, Andrea Young and Erin James The groups single is expected to hit country radio late 2008, and a album to follow shortly after.

History
Whitaker Malloy
Before Chasing Dixie, Alaina Whitaker was in another country group with friend and Idol finalist Kady Malloy and Whitaker's sister, Brittney Whitaker. The group recorded there album in Oklahoma, but the group was short-lived and did not release any singles or an album. Whitaker Malloy's album was later scrapped.

The Formation
After Whitaker Malloy, Alaina Whitaker formed a new country trio Chasing Dixie with Andrea Young. The girls stated in a interview on Oklahoma news, they later got Erin James to join the group.. The girls met in Oklahoma, the girls have opened up for Keith Anderson, Brooks and Dunn and opened up with Darius Rucker for Keith Anderson

The girls have performed the single "I Know What You Did" on The Morning Show and other morning shows in Oklahoma, the song has not officially been released to radio as of October 2008.
