Biglight

Biglight is a Canadian rock band formed in 2008 in Belleville, Ontario, Canada by Callum Runciman and Alex Stankovic. Kyle Buck and Jimi Vanwassenhoven joined the group in 2009 and 2010 respectively . On July 1st, 2011 the band is set to release their debut album "Something Ugly" .
History
Throughout 2008 and early 2009, Runciman and Stankovic performed with several groups, including Nosey Rosey, Dorian, and Mouth .
In the spring of 2009, the duo recruited longtime friend Kyle Buck as drummer, and began performing as a trio. After an argument among the band in July, the founding members decided a break would be in the group's best interests. This hiatus went on until December, when the band released a new single; "Meanwhile" which received light rotation on national radio stations, including: CBC Radio One, KROQ-FM and CHFI. After the release of their first single, the band began performing as a foursome, with Caylie Runciman on bass .
In March, Caylie followed Mouth to Ottawa, and Jimi Vanwassenhoven took her place as a permanent bassist. Shortly after, the group released their first single "Now And Then And Now Again" which was taken from the spring recording sessions.
The group continued to write, record, and perform throughout the summer of 2010, forming the base for their debut album.
The group was also the subject of a full-feature episode of Bandwidth Where they discussed their new release and the history of the band.
