Square Peg Round Hole Records

Square Peg Round Hole Records is a Milton Keynes-based record label. The company's title is an abbreviated reference to the idiomatic phrase "square peg in a round hole."
The label which was created up in 2007 by Tony Dennis, Chris Shaw, Shaun Bradshaw, Wayne Palmer and Chris Granby (who will quit shortly after). Advertising for bands on Labels Myspace site Square Peg joked "Anyone who aspire to become the next Travis or Razorlight please don't bother as we have morals". The label's first release was the single "All I Heard/A Common Interest In Silence" from Hull based Kill Surf City in September 2007, the follow-up single "mixandmatch" from ineedtodiscover was released in December 2007 gaining attention from BBC Radio 1 DJ Steve Lamacq and BBC 6 Music DJ Tom Robinson. Square Peg Round Hole folded in August 2009 blaming financial reasons and differences.
Founder member Shaun Bradshaw now runs Feed That Baby Records, Shaw and Dennis have since formed new label eightk72 Records and have announced their first release will be the debut album from Italian band Kitsunetsuki expected in September 2010.
