Alan Donnes

Alan Donnes (born March 5, 1963) is an American writer, comedian and producer.

Biography and Early Comedy Career
Donnes was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended . It was there, during morning announcements, that he developed his signature dry humor and easygoing ribbing manner. After attending Loyola University New Orleans and majoring in business, he had a brief but successful career in the stand-up stand-up circuit. He opened for Melissa Manchester, Crystal Gail, Sam Kinison, and Air Supply.

Radio Work
Post-stand-up, Donnes went on to develope the largest independent radio network in the NFL as a reporter for the New Orleans Saints. He later went on to found networks for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Oilers, Carolina Panthers, and Jacksonville Jaguars. This led to his ressurecting The National Lampoon Radio Hour with Tanner Colby. It included new material along with classic material from Christopher Guest, Richard Belzer, Gilda Radner and Harold Ramis. Richard Belzer also acted as host and executive producer.

Movie Career

In 2007, Donnes and Colby penned a script for National Lampoon that grew into Dirty Movie starring Christopher Meloni, Robert Klein and Mario Cantone. It will be released in early 2009. Donnes is a frequent collaborator with Jerry Daigle, Christopher Meloni, Adam Ferrara, Adam Sietz, Andrew Buchler, and Tanner Colby.

Donnes is the author of "Patron Saints: How the Saints Gave New Orleans a Reason to Believe," a book about the New Orleans Saints approach to the Super Bowl following Hurricane Katrina.

He is currently working on several books and movies.
