Fingernail image diagnosis (FID) is a unique method that reveals your overall health conditions and locate potential problems of the body by observing blood and Qi images underneath the fingernails. This method is completely different from conventional fingernail diagnostic method which only examines the nail surface. Clinical experience in China and United States confirms that observation of the fingernails can help in early diagnosis and may also indicate the tendency of the disease. It can also disclose an otherwise hidden or insidious disease. By knowing the degree of pathological change reflected in the fingernail and by observing these changes in the disease condition, one can use Fingernail Image Diagnosis to aid in subsequent decisions regarding appropriate treatment. Origin Origin of FID comes from an ancient Chinese folk fingernail reading called "Fingernail detecting injury method". FID has been rediscovered and developed into a unique and very effective self-monitoring healthcare method through the long-term clinical practice and integrated medical research efforts of Dr. Wen-Hua Wang.
