Early Life
Aaron Singerman was born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana , which is a nearby suburb of New Orleans . His journey towards a career in the bodybuilding industry started at the age of 13 when he first began to lift weights at a nearby fitness center called the French Riviera Spa and Fitness Center. Singerman spent his adolescent and teen years in and out of trouble. One such incident while working as a bouncer at age 16 in a bar, Hyde Park Corner, resulted in a fight where a kick to the face, fracturing his jaw, orbital socket, and detaching his retina ended Singerman's time working at the bar for good. Singerman found himself hooked on heroin in his early 20s. In August 2005, the cit of New Orleans was struck by Hurricane Katrina, a category 5 storm, causing Singerman to relocate to Houston, Texas with his parents, Jerry and Lynne Singerman, and sister Dayna Singerman. The storm destroyed the family business, Great American Cookie and their home . Following the job loss, Palumbo opened RxMuscle.com to the bodybuilding fans. Singerman followed Dave to his new location on the internet. A member who posted under his real name, Singerman often blogged on the website which would eventually help him gain notoriety. Since Singerman had on-air experience with his Off-Topic radio show, Dave Palumbo asked Singerman to join him as a guest on his radio show, Heavy Muscle Radio. The two discussed everything from bodybuilding topics to Singerman's heroin addiction. Soon after his radio debut on RxMuscle.com, Aaron was offered a position with the website. Duties included writing play-by-play of live action at bodybuilding shows, writing feature articles and gossip stories, interviewing athletes, editing video content, and filming bodybuilding contests .
Singerman is known for making public announcements on things such as his engagement to Darielle Gaines (now Darielle Singerman) and the birth of his son Asher, for the bodybuilding world to see. In less than two years from conception, Singerman found his bodybuilding endeavors taking him to countries like India, Australia, and across Europe. In December 2012, Aaron Singerman was named Editor-in-Chief of RxMuscle.com. His monthly column discusses recent topics in the sport of bodybuilding. He documented his wedding, the birth of his son Asher Singerman, and told his behind the scenes story on his second trip to India covering the IFBB's Sheru Classic.
Radio
Aaron Singerman and PJ Braun co-host Iron Empire Radio , a spin-off of radio show Off-Topic Radio. The two discuss topics related to anything, but bodybuilding. PJ Braun, a national level NPC bodybuilder is known for his vivid accounts of his childhood and goes into depth about his past relationships. The radio show depicts Singerman attempting to keep Braun on task while keeping the show moving forward. Catch phrases like, "Sorry Isaac," led the two to release a limited edition run of t-shirts highlighting the quote.
Singerman also hosts Access Bodybuilding, with co-host Christina Liberatore, a show which covers the bulletin board topics of bodybuilding.
Singerman is also a co-host and weekly contributor to Heavy Muscle Radio. He makes his weekly appearance halfway through the radio show discussing his daily life with RxMuscle.com CEO Dave Palumbo. The show also includes an "Ask Dave" segment, where bodybuilding fans write questions for Singerman to ask Dave. Questions range from steroid use, diet and training questions, and post-cycle therapy questions. This is followed by the segment, "Stump the Jumbo," where fans get a chance to ask Dave questions (via Singerman) for a chance to win an RxMuscle.com t-shirt if Dave is unable to answer the question correctly. Singerman recently became the first ever guest host for two episodes of Heavy Muscle Radio while Palumbo was on vacation in Brazil.
