Ashley Forrestier

Ashley Rene' Forrestier (also known as The Creole1Queen ) is an American singer-songwriter, vocalist and producer. Born June 21, 1981 in the 7th ward of New Orleans, Louisiana , Forrestier moved to Houston, Texas after evacuating her hometown due to destruction of Hurricane Katrina. After performing locally and posting videos of her cover songs on YouTube and Facebook, Forrestier caught the attention of Houston music producer and fellow New Orleans native, Alverez the MostCold in 2009. Soon after, she and Alverez formed the production / songwriting team, The MostCold, along with the hip hop artist and songwriter, C.Y ur Highness. In 2010, Forrestier began writing and recording material for her debut solo project. Through the imprint, MostCold Digital, Forrestier and The MostCold have executive produced and released 3 singles, "", "" and "I Am Creole" , along with the 5-track Digital EP Release, "The Creole1Queen EP" in 2010.
Early life
Ashley Forrestier was born on June 21, 1981 in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents of Louisiana Creole descent. She is the youngest of a family of 12 children. Raised in a Christian home, she began singing at church at the age of 4 with her primary influence being her mother, who was a singer and evangelist at the time. While at LSU, she participated in community service events and was a member of the Tiger Pride organization. After college graduation, Forrestier returned to New Orleans to pursue her singing career. Shortly after settling back in New Orleans, her singing plans were abruptly halted by the citywide destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina.
In 2010, after several collaborations, Forrestier began writing and recording material for her solo project. For her first solo effort, she was inspired by the 2010 NFC playoff win of the Super Bowl bound, New Orleans Saints. On Feb. 1, 2010, she released the Saints victory celebration single, "". and ESPN 97.5 The Ticket along with articles by Sister 2 Sister Magazine, EartoDaStreetz.com, and AllHipHop.com contributing writer, Devaughn Douglas. After the actual , Forrestier also released the follow-up remix entitled, "" through BooKoo Beats. The song, "I AM CREOLE" is included on "The Creole1Queen EP" which was released through the imprint, MostCold Digital. Prior to release, Forrestier was invited to be a guest on the hour-long broadcast of IAMCREOLE Radio where she debuted the song and spoke about her Louisiana Creole Heritage.
In May 2010, Forrestier auditioned to become a cast member of the new season of musical TV series, Glee by Fox Networks.
