2013 Cowboys Classic

The 2013 Cowboys Classic is the 5th edition of this event and featured the LSU Tigers of the SEC and the TCU Horned Frogs of the Big 12 Conference and was played on August 31, 2013 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Game Summary
LSU got off to a silos start as Colby Delahoussaye would make a 23-yd Field Goal to give LSU a 3-0 lead. TCU would get off to a rough start though as Brandon Carter would fumble the ball while returning the kickoff and it would be recovered by James Wright at the TCU 10-yd line. All LSU would get on their next possession is a Colby Delahoussaye 28-yd Field Goal to give LSU a 6-0 lead. Jaden Oberkrom would make a 21-yd Field Goal on TCU's next possession to cut the Tigers lead to 6-3. LSU would have 6-3 lead after the 1st Quarter.
LSU would strike quickly in the 2nd quarter with a J.C. Copeland 1-yd touchdown run to give LSU a 13-3 lead. TCU would strike back quickly as B.J. Catalon would have a 100-yd kickoff return to cut the Tigers lead to 13-10. Both teams were able to force a three-and-out on each other's next possessions and then, both teams were forced to punt on their next possession. LSU would end the half with a Colby Delahoussaye 23-yd Field Goal which would give LSU a 16-10 lead at halftime.
TCU would get off to a rough start to the 2nd half as on their 1st play of the 2nd half, Casey Pachall would throw an interception which would be intercepted by Jalen Mills. LSU would take advantage of that interception as Terrence Magee would have a 52-yd touchdown run to give LSU a 23-10 lead. TCU would strike back on their next possession as B.J. Catalon would have a 26-yd touchdown run to cut the Tigers lead to 23-17. LSU would strike again on their next possession as Terrence Magee had a 3-yd touchdown run to give LSU a 30-17 lead. LSU would have a 30-17 lead after the 3rd Quarter.
TCU would be forced to punt on their 1st possession of the 4th Quarter. LSU would get off to a rough start to the 4th quarter as Alfred Blue would fumble the ball which would be recovered by Kevin White. TCU would take advantage of the turnover instantly as Waymon James would have a 5-yd run to cut the LSU lead to 30-24. After TCU would force a three-and-out on LSU's next possession, Jaden Oberkrom would make a 39-yd Field Goal to cut the LSU lead to 30-27. LSU would strike back on their next possession as Zach Mettenberger would have a 20-yd pass to Jarvis Landry to give LSU a 37-27 lead. LSU would force a three-and-out on TCU's next possession and then LSU would pull away with a 37-27 win over TCU.
