Juan Tapia Ruano
Juan Tapia Ruano was born in Havana, Cuba, in May 20, 1914. He died in Madrid, Spain, in 1980. During his life he develops the Painting, Engraving and Scenographic Design. He studied in the School of Architecture, of theHavana University, Havana, Cuba.

He was part of many collective exhibitions, among them we can mention in 1961 the VI Bienal de Sâo Paulo Museu de Arte Moderna, in the Parque Ibirapuera, in Sâo Paulo, Brazil. He was one of the selected artists to conform 1913-1963 Cincuentenario del Museo Nacional, in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Havana, Cuba. He was also included in the Segundo Concurso Latinoamericano de Grabado, in Galería Latinoamericana, Casa de las Américas, in Havana, Cuba. In this year he also participated in the Firts Bienal Americana de Grabado, in the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo, Universidad de Chile, Santiago de Chile, Chile. And in 1965 some of his works were selected to conform Litografías en la Plaza de la Catedral. Tercer Aniversario del T.E.G., in the Plaza de la Catedral, Havana, Cuba.
