Félix Suazo Fuentes

Félix Suazo Fuentes was born in Havana, Cuba, in July 24, 1966. Since 1991 he resides in Caracas, Venezuela. He develops the Sculpture. Between 1981-1985 he studied in the Academia de Bellas Artes San Alejandro, Havana, Cuba. And since 1985 to 1990 he studied sculpture at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), in Havana, Cuba.

Among his must relevant personal exhibitions we can quote in 1988 Tesis (I), in the Galería L, in Havana, Cuba. In this year he also presented Tesis (II), in the El Caimán Barbudo, in Havana, Cuba. And in 1992 he exhibited Juego de las decapitaciones, in the Galería Sotavento, in Caracas, Venezuela.

He was part of many collective exhibitions, among them we can mention Muestra Colectiva de Escultura, in the Galería L, in Havana, Cuba, in 1987. In 1989 he was participated in El ISA en Casa, in the Galería Latinoamericana, in Casa de las Américas, Havana, Cuba. In 1990 he was included in El Objeto Esculturado, in the Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales, in Havana, Cuba. And in 1991 he was one of the selected artists to conform Nacido en Cuba, in Rectorado, Fundación Universidad de Carabobo, in Carabobo, Venezuela.

Awards

During his life he had obtained many awards and recognitions like in 1988 the Prize, at the Coloquio Nacional de la Crítica, Asociación Hermanos Saíz (AHS), in Havana, Cuba. In 1989 he gained the Grand Prize, at the II Festival de la Creación y la Investigación Artística, Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), in Havana, Cuba]. And in 1990 he was awarded with the Prize, in the Encuentro de Teoría y Crítica. 5to. Salón de Premiados, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, in Havana, Cuba.
