Hearsay Social is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) social media management platform for companies with both corporate brands and local representatives. The service acts as a layer over social networking services, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Google+, and Twitter.

Co-founded in 2009 by former Microsoft executive Steve Garrity and Clara Shih, Starbucks board member and author of the New York Times-featured bestselling book The Facebook Era: Tapping Online Social Networks to Market, Sell and Innovate, Hearsay Social focuses on "corporate-to-local" for its social media marketing strategy. The company maintains strategic relationships with both Facebook, where it is a Preferred Development Consultant, and LinkedIn, with full messaging API integration.

Existing customers include Farmers Insurance, State Farm, and 24 Hour Fitness. Using Hearsay Social, State Farm managed to increase its social media workforce to over 16,000 employees in four months.

Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Hearsay Social has raised $21 million in venture capital from Sequoia Capital, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Michael Abbott (vice president of engineering at Twitter), Dave Morin (co-founder of Path), and Steve Chen (co-founder of YouTube).
