Enes Kaplan
Enes Kaplan (born 28 April 2004) is a Turkish taekwondo athlete competing in the 58 kg division. He won the bronze medal at the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships.
Career
Kaplan won the gold medal in the men's 58 kg event at the European U21 Taekwondo Championships held in Tirana, Albania, in 2022. He defeated Spain's Hugo Arillo Vázquez 2–0 in the final to become champion.
In 2024, he again won the gold medal in the men's 58 kg event at the European U21 Taekwondo Championships held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He defeated Samir Mirzoiev 2–1 in the final to become European U21 champion for the second time.
Kaplan competed in the men's 58 kg event at the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships, held at BMW Park in Munich, Germany, and won the bronze medal. He defeated Albania's Tedi Likometi in the round of 32, Slovenia's Domen Molj in the round of 16 and Romania's Tristan Scutaru in the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals, he lost 2–0 to Belarusian athlete Georgii Gurtsiev and finished the championships in third place.
