Yusuf Yünaçtı

Yusuf Yünaçtı (born 1 January 2003) is a Turkish para taekwondo practitioner. Competing in the K44 classification in the 70 kg division, Yünaçtı won the gold medal in the men's K44 70 kg event at the European Para Taekwondo Championships held as part of the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships. He won the silver medal at the 2019 World Para Taekwondo Championships in Antalya and another silver medal at the 2019 European Para Taekwondo Championships in Bari.

Career

Yünaçtı began para taekwondo at sports centres run by Esenyurt Municipality. At the beginning of 2019, he won the Turkish Para Taekwondo Championships in Ankara and was selected for the national team.

In 2019, he won the silver medal in the men's K43 75 kg event at the World Para Taekwondo Championships held in Antalya, finishing second behind Kazakhstan's Nurlan Dombayev. The same year, he won the silver medal in the men's K43 75 kg event at the European Para Taekwondo Championships in Bari, Italy. He reached the final after defeating his Ukrainian opponent and finished second after losing to his opponent from Kazakhstan in the final.

In 2021, Yünaçtı competed in the men's K44 70 kg event at the World Para Taekwondo Championships held in Istanbul. He defeated Kenya's Joseph Owino Odhiambo in the first round, before losing to Fatih Çelik in the quarter-finals and finishing outside the medals.

In 2023, he competed in the men's K44 70 kg event at the European Para Taekwondo Championships in Rotterdam, where he lost to Georgia's Giorgi Nikoladze in the quarter-finals. The same year, he also competed in the same weight class at the Asian Para Championships in Beirut.

In 2024, he competed in the men's K44 70 kg event at the European Para Taekwondo Championships in Belgrade. He defeated Mongolia's Bolorsukh Davaasuren in the first round, before losing to Fatih Çelik in the quarter-finals and being eliminated from the tournament.

In 2026, Yünaçtı won the gold medal in the men's K44 70 kg event at the European Para Taekwondo Championships held in Munich, Germany. He defeated Moldova's Petru Cataraga in the round of 16, Fatih Çelik in the quarter-finals and Poland's Maciej Kęsicki in the semi-finals to reach the final. In the final, he defeated Azerbaijan's Imamaddin Khalilov 2–0 to become European champion.
