Wray Query

Wray E. Query was a longtime minor league baseball player and manager.
A catcher, he played from 1914 to 1917 and from 1920 to 1935, hitting .300 with 1,485 hits. He hit over .300 in 11 of his 20 seasons, peaking at .365 with the Tyler Governors in 1934, finishing second on the team in batting average (behind only Fern Bell).
He managed the Sioux City Packers (1923), Vicksburg Hill Billies (1928-1929), Pine Bluff Judges (1930-1932), Tyler Governors (1933-1934), El Dorado Lions (1935) and Midland Cardinals (1937). He led the Hill Billies and Judges to Cotton States League championships in 1928 and 1930, respectively.
