Babe Peebles

Aldridge "Babe" Peebles (died January 11, 1965 in Denison, Texas, USA) was a minor league baseball player and manager.
Playing career
Peebles played from 1910 to 1911 and from 1913 to 1916, hitting .275 in 516 minor league games. He had 450 hits in 1,636 at-bats.
Managerial career
Peebles managed the Denison, Texas minor league team from 1913 to to 1917. In 1913, they were known as the Denison Blue Sox. They were the Denison Champions in 1914. From 1915 to 1917, they were the Denison Railroaders. He also managed the Sherman Lions in 1921. He led his team to a first place finish in 1913, 1915 and 1916.
Rogers Hornsby was sold to the St. Louis Cardinals baseball club while being managed by Peebles.
