Frank Novosel

Frank C. Novosel (January 2, 1908 in New York City, New York) is a former minor league baseball player and manager. He attended New York University.
Playing career
Novosel played the bulk of his career from 1930 to 1935, later making a few appearances as a player-manager in the following seasons. In total, he played in nine different seasons, playing in 460 games. His minor league statistics are incomplete, however it is known he had at least 340 hits.
Managing career
Novosel managed the Newburgh Hummingbirds and Walden Hummingbirds in 1946, replacing manager Lou Haneles. He was hired to be the head coach for Wake Forest College in 1948. In 1949 and 1950, he managed the Norfolk Tars, replacing Earl Bolyard in the former year. He managed the Amsterdam Rugmakers in 1951 and the Trois-Rivières Yankees in 1952 and 1953. He led his team to the playoffs in both 1951 and 1952, however they lost in the first round each time.
Miscellany
Novosel also served as a scout in the New York Yankees system.
