RIHA Journal is an international online-journal for the history of art. Edited by RIHA - International Association of Research Institutes in the History of Art, the journal is a joint project of 28 research institutes in 19 countries worldwide, among them major institutions such as the Getty Research Institute, L.A., or the Courtauld Institute of Art, London. See below for a complete list of the RIHA institutes. The journal features new research articles on a broad range of topics in the history and theory of art, architecture and visual culture. Most articles are in English, French, or German; articles written in "small" languages are offered both in original version and in English translation. RIHA Journal is a peer reviewed Open-Access journal and and is listed in the . All articles are available free of charge and are provided under a Creative Commons license. A unique feature of the journal is its de-centralized, international editorial structure: Each of the 28 RIHA institutes is by itself responsible for selecting articles, maintaining the contact with authors, and organising the peer reviews. The journal's central editorial office is based at the (ZI) in Munich. New articles are posted via the relevant mailing lists of H-Net.
