ViralGains is an advertising software company based in Boston. History The idea for ViralGains was conceived in 2012 when founders Jay Singh and Dan Levin observed the growing influence of viral video ads on the web. The founders had previously led viral ad campaigns for brands such as Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble. Within one year of its launch, the company booked its first $1 million of sales. ViralGains was named a $100,000 diamond prize winner of MassChallenge, the world's largest startup accelerator program. The company went on to be accepted to the 500 Startups accelerator. ViralGains announced the closing of a $2.8 million seed round in July 2014 with 45 investors involved including musician Nas. In 2015, the company named Tod Loofbourrow the CEO. In 2016, the company announced additional funding of $7.7 million in a Series A led by Stage 1 Ventures, with participation from 500 Startups, Hub Angels, and Launch Capital. By April 2016, it was reported the company had 41 Fortune 500 customers and was named a finalist for the Angel Capital Association Innovative Startup Awards. Weber Shandwick announced a partnership with ViralGains for video distribution and live media. The company was selected for the Unilever Foundry 50 at Cannes Lions Innovation, a curated group of the world's leading marketing technology startups. Software In 2015, ViralGains' video ad engagement platform added a profiling suite to activate viewers and real-time sentiment analysis capabilities.
