Xangati Inc., a U.S. information technology company, provides infrastructure performance management solutions that deliver real-time visibility for virtualization initiatives. According to the company, Xangati’s comprehensive approach to IPM delivers continuous tracking of performance and dependencies of all the critical components comprising the IT infrastructure, including servers, network, storage, applications, end devices, and their end users in real time and scalable to millions. Xangati presents this information for both the virtual and physical infrastructures in a single dashboard.
Xangati’s first customers were telco service providers whose customers depended on them for fixed line and wireless broadband. Xangati provided intelligence into who was doing what, providing the telcos with unprecedented information and visibility into subscriber activity. When virtualization hit, Xangati offered its proven technology as virtual appliances so every enterprise organization could reap the benefits.
Xangati Management Dashboard (XMD) was chosen as one of three finalists in the Virtualization Management category of the Best of VMworld 2010 Awards program at the VMworld 2010 conference held in San Francisco. The XMD was recognized for outstanding achievement in innovation, performance and value and was selected from out of more than 50 product nominees in its category, as well as a total entrant pool of more than 200 for all Best of VMworld categories.
The company was founded in June 2006 and is headquartered in Cupertino, California. In September 2007, Xangati received $10.7 million funding from Walden Venture Capital of San Francisco and Alloy Ventures of Palo Alto, California, which had led an earlier $8 million funding round.
