Reverend Vincent S. "Vinny" Browne (born February 17, 1981) is a Democratic Party member and candidate for the United States Congress. He is the state party Vice Chair for District 26. He was previously elected to, and served briefly on, The Ewa Beach Neighborhood board in 2009. .Rev. Vinny Browne is currently running to serve in the 111th Congress for the . Early Years Vinny Browne was born on Staten Island, New York to James Browne and Susan Browne, and was the middle of 5 children. During his childhood his family moved to Long Branch, New Jersey, Where he attended Long Branch High School. His Family later returned to Staten Island, NY where he attended New Dorp High School. Career From March of 2001 to March of 2005, Browne was a member of the TBTA Police After leaving the TBTA Police in 2005, Rev. Vinny Browne Relocated to Honolulu, HI, where he is currently a minister specializing in the officiating of marriages. 2010 U.S. House Campaign Browne is running to serve in the 111th Congress for the 1st Congressional District In a special election being held on May 22nd, 2010. The special election is winner-take-all, and the victor will likely be favored to win the September 2010 primary and November 2010 general election to replace Neil Abercrombie in Congress.
