Robert Belin (born 1969) was the Republican nominee for congress in Illinois' 2nd congressional district in 2006, and is a mathematics teacher at Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing, Illinois and Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois. On March 21 2006 Belin won the Republican Congressional primary, defeating Howard Schug. Belin's opponents in the general election were incumbent Democrat Jesse Jackson, Jr. and Libertarian Anthony W. Williams. Belin finished second in the general election, losing to Jackson.
Robert Belin is a 1991 graduate of DePaul University; he has a bachelor's degree in accounting and a Master's degree in secondary education. Belin is a member and teacher at Faith Church in Dyer, Indiana.
