Syed Zeeshan (born 10 October 1979) is a freelance journalist, columnist and analyst. Zeeshan Haider was born in historical city of Multan, Pakistan. He got his earlier education from Multan. Family Background and Occupation He belongs to renowned and well respected business family of Multan. His roots trace back to Chakwal district of Punjab province. He is descendant of Hazrat Shah Chiragh, one of the eminent mystic and sufi of INDO-PAK (as mentioned in the famous book written by Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, Kahri Shareef -Saiful Malook). Syed Zeeshan Haider's father late Syed Mumtaz Haider Shah migrated from Chakwal to Multan in his early years. He was a business tycoon and a prominent business figure in oil and gas sector of Pakistan. Syed Zeeshan Haider following his father’s footsteps joined his family business. With his extraordinary business acumen and God gifted charisma took the family business to new heights in very short span of time. He became chairman of Haider Group of Companies -family owned business- at very young age. Vision and Aims Syed Zeeshan Haider seems to be an advocate of freedom of thought and peace. He has also stressed about the importance of neutrality of Media at various forums. His speeches and writings elucidate optimism, freedom of speech , rationalism, tolerance, education and democracy in Pakistan.
