Introduction Raja Liaqat Ali is a prominent and famous name in the journalism of twin cities of Pakistan.He was born in Chakwal in a Chohan family.His father Raja Sajawal Khan was Chief of Mehmood Kot and still remembered for his kindness and piety. Education and Career Raja Liaqat Ali got his early education from Mehmood Kot Chakwal and higher education from Chakwal and Jhelum.He got his education for journalism from University of the Punjab Lahore.He started his career as a Staff Reporter from Daily Asas.When he realised that he has been blessed with an extensive power of writing then besides reporting he started column writing in Daily Azkaar with the title of Talkhian.After three years Raja Liaqat Ali joined Daily Azkaar as a Crime Reporter.He broke many crime news and proved his worth through hard work.In a short time he was promoted to Bureau Chief for Daily Azkaar Rawalpindi and from that time he has been contributing to increase its readership by his good management ,articles and breaking news. Membership Raja Liaqat Ali is an active member of Crime and Court Reporters Association Rawalpindi.He has also been finance secretary of this association three years back.Currently he is executive council member of Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ). Achievements His columns are very famous among the readers.His way of writing is bitter and satirical and usually he choose the hard issues for his columns that's why he named his columns "Talkhian".Raja Liaqat Ali has a deep affection for his native district Chakwal.His articles show that he is much concerned over the deprivation of his district.He broke many stories against the MNA of district Chakwal Ayaz Amir and criticised his mismanagement and injustice.He tried to remind him his promises that Ayaz Amir has made with the people of Chakwal.These criticism made Ayaz Amir against Raja Liaqat Ali and he wrote a column against Raja Liaqat Ali and another journalist and made accusations of blackmailing against them.Ayaz Amir's blames proved false in an inquiry committee report by RIUJ and his blames were considered as attempt of defame to journalists.Raja Liaqat Ali broke many stories about Crime,Health,Education and many more.He is the first journalist in Rawalpindi/Islamabad who has published the news about Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi Dr Iftikhar Baig who was owner of an illegal and bogus housing scheme named Education City.He also published news about the corruption and misuse of finance within Rawalpindi Board, many stories and articles about Encroachment Mafia , poor health facilities has been published by him.
