Summer Research Fellowship Programme

SRFP, Student Research fellowship program is the student research program organised by a group of academies, which includes Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian National Science Academy, National Academy of Sciences, India.
In this program student is required to spend 8 weeks with his mentor in the summer duration. List of mentors is provided by the academy itself, from which student is required to choose his mentor. Student is also required to submit a research proposal, he would to work on. At the end of program student is required to submit the report of his work and give a presentation in his work.

* Student should be from any Indian institution recognised by .
* Student may choose to apply in different topic rather than what he is currently studying in.
Application
Applications are invited in month of December. In 2010, it was 31 December. Online application can be filled and then printout of application should be mailed to academy. Selected candidates are intimated by mid of march. For 2011, it was 3 March.
Arrangements
Accommodation is generally provided by the guide, with which the student is going to work. Stipend is provided by the academy to meet the expenses of student while staying for research. It is generally approx. 6000/- per month. Sometimes food,accommodation
and travel charges are provided along with Rs 2500 per month.
