Roswell Road is a road in the U.S. state of Georgia in Fulton County. It is part of Georgia State Route 9 (SR&nsbp;9) and SR 120. The Roswell Road section that is part of Georgia State Route 9 (SR 9), became known as Thunder Road for its use by moonshiners from Dawsonville heading into Atlanta to deliver alcohol to speakeasies. The route us also used for part of SR 120. Sites along Roswell Road include the Buckhead Theatre, Auction Kings, Big Chicken, Peachtree Presbyterian Church, Southern Careers Institute, and Northside Tower. Royal Bus Lines operates on the route. Roswell Road travels through Sandy Springs and into Atlanta. It borders the Buckhead Forest, Powers Park, Georgia, and North Buckhead. The Roswell Road Bridge is in Fulton County, Georgia. It was built 1928 and renovated in 1965.
