Project rooster

Project Rooster is a English Stop-motion animated series created, Directed and Executive produced by Thomas Gardner and Karl Hiner along with animators Jakob MacDonald and Corey Underhill. When a agreement came with the creators in October 2010, they decided to create their own comedy sketch show, but struggling with a name, Karl Hiner decided to have a name that was related with Robot Chicken. So for 1 week, they thought of names but in the end Thomas Gardner came up with the name Project Rooster.
Cast
The cast is mostly the creators providing most of the voices with the occasional odd voice cast added in. The original cast was built up of 12 people and are still recording voices for the show.

Production
The 5 seasons were created and filmed on built sets and green screens on certain locations and in bioshock studios. Ideas were brought by the head writers and from the script came to screen, and filming came into session. The program is a sketch comedy that parodies a number of pop culture conventions using stop motion animation of toys, action figures and Claymation (usually for special effects) and various other objects were used for the show as most were from either famous films or just well known in the film industry. The show was almost aborted due to a destruction to most of the sets and figures. Gardner stated on the website that they were back on track and are nearly on their second series. They began filming on the 19th may 2010 and have completed their series and Indiana jones special and are now in the process of filming their Lord of the rings special which will be released in november 2011.
Seasons
The 5 seasons were hard for the writers because of the little amount of ideas that were being pitched and the lack of material and storage. So for 6 months they wrote all 5 seasons.
Opening sequence
A young child logs onto his computer and a virus hits his computer screen, his eyes make a spiral motion as if he were being Hypnotised and the camera looks at the screen to show lots of different clips from the certain series (depending which season it is). He then gets up and throws up and he is sucked into the computer screen, he is then thrown from the screen with a rooster type shriek, he then gets up and he is half kid, half rooster. He then turns back to the screen where the caption (created by Thomas Gardner and Karl Hiner)appears. Thomas Gardner and two other frends wrote and composed the theme song and recorded it in bioshock studios, which was then later developed, edited and produced onto the series.
Celebrity impersonations
The show mocked celebrities and famous characters in a parodic manor including sketches Hitler f**ks a Jew and Pot junkie Caspian . Many of the voices were spoke to sound like the specific person, but in a mocking motion.
Censorship
The show only just missed out on a 18 Rated certificate due to very strong language, attempted and some suicides and strong drug use. Due to a agreement, censored beeps couldn't be avoided and were not to be uncensored and be repeated. Most of the language was strongly offensive and a use was discriminating to the albinos.
DVD specials
The specials were made due to a conversation between the creators and decided to create Project Rooster: Indiana Jones which was released straight to DVD. The special was rated 15 and was a little quieter than the series, with not as many swear words. A lord of the rings special is in process. The 1st special was released on the official site, but the site was shut down due to abusive language given to the talk page, a official Facebook page was made a year ago and their are a few people who have bought the film have liked it.
