Big4Guru.com, usually known simply as Big 4 Guru, is a career counseling website designed for accounting students, graduates and professionals. Created by alumni of the Big 4 public accounting firms, the site reveals secrets of the notoriously rigorous hiring practices of the firms. Since it's launch in March 2008, the site has helped hundreds of job candidates land top-notch accounting positions in some of the industry's best firms. The site contains free content, in the form of articles and blog posts, and is the sole provider of the flagship e-book, The Big 4 Guru's Book of Secrets - A Guide to Getting Hired with the Big 4. History Big4Guru.com was created in 2008 by former staff of the Big 4 public accounting firms. After spending years watching job candidates struggle with the various stages of the Big 4 hiring practice, the creators decided to distill the process into a step-by-step guide that anyone could navigate. Following the mantra that, "knowledge is power," the contents of the site and e-book take the mystery out of the hiring practice and provide prospective job candidates with a wealth of information that had not previously been available. The e-book has been sold to hundreds of job candidates and it is estimated that Big4Guru.com is represented well within the 2009 class at the Big 4 firms.
