Peacherine tree

The Peacherine tree carries large fruit intermediate in appearance between a peach and a nectarine.
Fruit
The Peacherine fruit is large and brightly colored like a red peach. The flesh of the fruit is usually yellow but 'white' varieties also exist. The peacherine fruit has a a good flavor. It appears to be most readily available in Australia and New Zealand. The Koanga Institute lists varieties that ripen in (Southern hemisphere) February, Late February, and March. Edible Garden lists varieties that ripen in January and March.
The Peacherine is variously said to be a cross between a Peach and a Nectarine
