Lachlan Robinson

Lachlan Thomas Robinson (born 11th of July 1994)) is an Australian football player and cricketer. Robinson first became a bit of a celebrity when a story was published about him in The Flinders News. It was called 'Young champions lead the way', and it talked about Robinson efforts in the 2011 Northern Areas cricket grand final. Robinson popularity rose even more when he was published in another story by The Flinders News about the trophies won at the Wilmington/Melrose cricket club windup.
Football
Robinson has played football for the BMW Lions, in the Northern Areas Football Association. He has not played a full year of football since 2008, when he won the best and fairest for the BMW Junior Colts. In 2011, Robinson battled a hamstring injury all year which he tore three times. Robinson finished the season playing just 5 matches, but he still managed to kick 22 goals at an average of 4.40 goals per game. He played for the Senior Colts in the finals where he kicked 5 goals in the Semi Final. He followed this up by kicking 6 goals in the Grand Final to get his team over the line. He has trained with the North Adelaide Under 18's.
Cricket
Robinson played under 12's cricket for his hometown of Wilmington and Under 16's for the BMW Lions Cricket Club. He opened the batting for a few years where he averaged 48.21 runs over his four seasons there. Robinson started playing A grade cricket for the Wilmington/Melrose cricket club when he was 13 years old. He currently still plays for the Wilmington/Melrose cricket club, where he opens the batting and bowls.<ref name=Flinders/>
