Stillpower

Stillpower: The Inner Source of Athletic Excellence is a non-fiction book by Garret Kramer. Stillpower proposes that the secret to excellence is returning to a childlike state where “the zone” comes naturally. The book details the states of mind necessary for contentment and success on and off the playing field.
Brief Description
Stillpower is the first and only book about performance that is based on the three principles (mind, consciousness, and thought) of the Health realization model (HR). How much does mental performance influence the actual physical performance of both amateur and professional athletes? Does it help a player deliver in the clutch or succeed in elevating his or her performance? Why does the conventional “push hard for success” approach often fail? Why is it that these driven athletes too often find themselves in off-field situations that result in embarrassing news reports or serious criminal charges.
Stillpower answers these and many other questions about what is necessary for success and consistent performance both on and off the playing field. The book outlines the connection between one’s thoughts and level of wellbeing as it relates to performance and competition. It lays the foundation for success in any endeavor and explains the process necessary to achieve it in a totally different approach to coaching that supersedes the “push hard” method.
