Olga Gorokhova

Olga Gorokhova (born 22 November 1964, Moscow, Russia) - Russian artist.
Olga Gorokhova was born on 22 November 1964, in Moscow, Russia. Representative of abstract expressionism and minimalism (influence by Mark Rothko - Color Field painting. Main direction in painting is Nude (influence by Auguste Rodin - erotic water colors - and Egon Schiele. Father - Yegor Gorokhov, graphic artist, cartoonist at Krokodil magazine and a friend of Kukryniksy group of painers. Mother - Zoya Gorokhova (Klimova) - teacher of Spanish and French.
Olga Gorokhova graduated from the Department of Romance and German Languages at the Moscow State Pedagogical University. In 1990, travelled from Moscow to Los Angeles and studied painting at the Department of Painting, Santa Monica College, Los Angeles. Later she moved to Belgium and continued her studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. Since 1998, participant of the Club of Painters - Russian avant-garde art movement center in Moscow. Every year Olga Gorokhova takes part in international art fairs in the Netherlands and Belgium.
