Patrick Teugels

Patrick Teugels (born 1960, Dendermonde) is a Belgian contempory artist, juridical expert on paintings and kickboxer (1975-80). He began to study fine arts at the Royal Academie Fine Art, Antwerp in 1978, and subsequently restauration of paintings on wood and canvas at Koninklijk Instituut voor het Kunstpatrimonium/Institut Royal du Patrimoine Artistique in 1985. He teached painting, drawing and paintingtechnique from 1986-96 on the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. Teugels lives and works in Brussels since 2000. The only kickfighter to defeat Jean-Claude Van Damme was vice-world-champion Patrick Teugels at the 2nd WAKO World Championships on November 3rd & 4th, 1979 at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida.
