Niki Cheong is a full-time Malaysian journalist and a part - time theatre practitioner. He is referred to as The Bangsar Boy, the name of his fortnightly column in Malaysia’s leading English language daily, . He works as the assistant editor of R.AGE, a youth section for The Star. Cheong is one of two Malaysians who made it to the Top 20 of the recent Ultimate World Mr Twitter online voting competition. Education Cheong studied in Methodist Primary School, La Salle PJ & Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology before furthering his studies at Australia. He is a Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia graduate. He holds two degress, BA in Media and Information (specialising in Print Journalism and Film & TV) as well as a BA in Internet Studies. With Random Alphabets In 2009, Cheong was the Chief Team Leader for one of Random Alphabets' projects called the Merdeka Train Party. Twestival KL Cheong was the co-organiser for Twestival KL, with raised RM11,000 for charity. With Rojak Runners Cheong has agreed to join the Ambassador’s Challenge for this year’s edition of the Human Race in Singapore. He will be teaming up with Jason @ Smashpop, 8TV’s Zher Peen and Era’s Nana as The Rojak Runners against the Sambal Sprinters (made up of Amanda Choe, Zaquan Razak and Hitz.fm’s Rudy.
