Nami Rai Parekh

Nami Rai Parekh is a fitness model, world record powerlifter and also hurdler who won a silver and bronze medal at the national level in the 100 m hurdles and 100 m relay events. In December 2019, Parekh Won 2 Gold Medals along with 2 World Records representing India at the Full Powerlifting and Raw Deadlift Event at the AWPC World Cup in Moscow , Russia with the best deadlift of 172.5 kg which also went on to be a world record in the U56 women's category.
Early Life
Nami Rai Parekh was born in Mangalore on Dec 2nd. She completed her schooling from Alvas institution in Moodbidri Manglore and Masters from Jain University, Bangalore.
She used to be on the field running for at least three hours in the morning and back making herself a fierce competitor. Due to lack of sports facilities in Chhatisgarh, Nami Rai Parekh couldn't pursue athletics like before. Instead of giving up or finding excuses, she turned to working out at the gym to continue her love for sport and fitness. Her dream is to open a world class fitness centre where she aims to "provide state-of-the-art facilities which focuses on both physical as well as mental fitness."
