Mad squad dancers

Mark Graham and Roy Bryan are the members of the comedy dance duo known as the Mad Squad. The group started in 1980 when Mark and Roy met in high school; they both went to Kingston College in Kingston Jamaica.
Considered among the elite of performers in Jamaica, the group possesses the uncanny ability to combine dance, music and comedy in a unique and entertaining format.
In the early years the group performed at numerous school functions and concerts in their native Jamaica, they entered and won a number of dance contest which earned them national prominence and many trophies and awards, the biggest of which was the 1989 Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Festival Dance Competition, where Mad Squad won two gold medals, the best popular dance and dancers trophies and scored a historical 100% for the gold medal dance "Della Move" from a popular song of the same name. Since then the group has been consistently performing on major events in Jamaica and on the international scene, they are a staple in the north coast hotel industry in Jamaica doing cabaret shows, their act is seen as one of the finest on the entertainment circuit today which puts them in great demand.
The group also was one of the first to perform at Jamaica House for the then prime minister the Right Honorable P.J. Patterson.
The group performed in the Hellas International Dance Festival 2006 in Greece and out of a field of fifteen countries and over six hundred participants and being the only entry from the western hemisphere won the third place trophy. They returned to Athens Greece in 2007 and came out on top this time around by winning the first place in the open professional category.
In 2004 the "Jamaica Federation of Musicians" presented Mad Squad with a lifetime award.
Mad Squad is now creating and distributing merchandise on the group and has released their story and performance on DVD in 2007. The group has succeeded in doing what most people continue to dream about. Their longevity in the entertainment world is a tremendous accomplishment and testament to the fact that whatever the mind can conceive can be achieved.
