Mark Nilan Jr.

Mark Nilan Jr. (born September 5, 1983) is a Los Angeles, CA based keyboardist and music producer. Son of prominent television and radio commercial composer Mark Nilan Sr. He plays piano and synthesizers and is known for working in diverse musical styles.
Nilan is a graduate of Wayne State University, holding a BFA in jazz piano, as well as California Institute of the Arts, holding an MFA in jazz piano.
Mark Nilan is currently the on-screen keyboardist on Fox's smash hit tv show, Glee. Nilan can be seen on Glee along side Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith. He performed in Glee episodes including "Hell-O", "The Power of Madonna", "Home", "Bad Reputation", "Laryngitis", "Dream On", "Theatricality", "Funk" and "Journey".
Nilan holds the role as keyboardist for LA based pop/rock band, Julie The Band. He can be heard as keyboardist/producer on Julie the Band's second album, "An Act of Communication" as well as their third release, "Wild As The Sky". Mark can also be heard as keyboardist/producer on Madrid Spain's pop artist, Kireina's first album "Dare To Be". "Dare To Be" has won many awards including a nomitation in the Hollywood Music Awards 2008 Best Pop Artist with her song "Can't Walk Over Me". Nilan composed and produced "Foggin' Up A Clear View" featuring platinum selling rapper, Obie Trice.
Nilan released his debut contemporary jazz album, "Hands On", on June 24, 2010. Nilan composed all ten songs and assembled a stellar cast of musicians for "Hands On": bassist Abraham Laboriel, drummer Gregg Bissonette, guitarist Ricky ‘Z’ Zahariades and percussionist Brad Dutz.
