Maine Bat Company

Maine Bat Company is an American manufacturer of baseball bats based in Columbia, Maryland. It was founded in 2012 by former Mount St. Mary's University Division I baseball player Constantine Costa Kapothanasis.
The bats are used by baseball players in the various independent baseball leagues.
History
The company began when Costa Kapothanasis came back from playing for the Greek National Baseball Team. in the 2010 European Baseball Championship. After putting together a 3 speed lathe Kapothanasis began making bats for former teammates for list of collegiate summer baseball leagues. The unpaid, amateur baseball players involved have attended at least one year of college and have at least one year of athletic eligibility remaining. They report to summer leagues after completing their spring collegiate season with their NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA teams. After purchasing a CNC router the Maine Bat Company was able to provide custom engravings for amateur and professional baseball players.
