Justin Wells is a Producer for Fox Television in New York, NY.
Wells won an Edward R. Murrow award at CBS for being the first being the first media outlet in America to break the news of Fidel Castro's transfer of power in the Summer of 2006. However, he is best known for continuous coverage of Hurricanes where his analysis was regularly featured by 'Television Week.'
Wells began his career with Fox in 1999 in Tampa at WTVT. He then worked for NBC - WPTV in West Palm Beach. In 2003, he moved to Miami and Washinton Post's ABC station, WPLG. He quickly left for Miami's CBS Owned and Operated station, WFOR, where he was producer of the 11pm news. He worked alongside anchors Maggie Rodriguez (now at CBS Network's Early Show) and Robb Hanrahan. At the end of 2006, Justin Wells left Miami and made a return to Fox. He is currently a Producer for Fox Television in New York City. Shortly after his departure, anchor Maggie Rodriguez also left Miami for New York to become the host of CBS News national morning program, 'The Early Show.'
In New York, Wells has managed coverage of a steam pipe explosion and 'You Decide 2008' coverage on Fox. He Produced the network's post-giants Super Bowl coverage, which was one of the most profitable local broadcasts in television history.
Wells is a Murrow award member, Emmy-nominated and a member of and sits on committees for the following media organizations: RTNDA, SPJ, NLGJA
