S. Scott Conner M-L.M.T. (born Scott Varrian Conner on October 15, 1967) is an American radio (770KKOB and 550KFYI) and television (CBS/KRQE) talk show host with career titles that include Actor, Director, Editor, Executive Producer, Producer, Writer and Host. Most recently Conner created, produced and hosted the late-night Talk & Variety show, The Scott Conner Show. As of December 2009, Conner is in development on the syndication for a second season of The Scott Conner Show, tentatively scheduled for 2010. Presently, he holds credentials as a Medical Myomassologist, Talk show host Fall of 2003, Conner won an audition on 770KKOB, (50,000 watt station) to be a weekend talk show host. During Conner's term at 770KKOB, he innovated a "Wild Card" guest seat to where anyone in the community could be a panel guest and give their opinion live on the air. Also, to reach a younger audience Conner self produced a condensed TV formatted] version of his radio show, and aired it on the CBS affiliate KRQE every Friday night for a 12 week run. Topics of Conner's weekly radio show included "9/11 partially the American Publics Fault", "Free Saddam", "Smokers Sux", "Does Israel need another Hitler", "Garbage Men can be Sexy too", "Dime Store Preachers" and "Real Hero's, Purple Hearts" to name a few. After 9 months, Conner was suspended for taking on banking institutions (mainly BofA) for their unregulated and morally questionable "fee" schedules; via a topic entitled "Bank Fee's Sux Ass". Conner was quoted as saying "I'm actually proud to stand up for those who can't speak for themselves. F--k em' if management doesn't have the balls to stand behind the talent and grow erect for whats right". (Conner did not break any of Citadel's rules nor violated any U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) laws) After leaving that station in a 70 market, Conner found himself sixty days later securing the coveted weeknight slot (7-10pm) in the 15 market, at Phoenix' 550KFYI, beating out over 200 applicants, with well over 15 years experience vs. Conner's nine months. In less than a month (of being on the air) Conner forced "Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant" to open its doors to him and a choice few members of the media for an up close tour since 9/11. Conner's new environment encouraged an improved connection with a fan base of 300,000 listeners; with topics that centered around Lifestyle issues ranging from Strip Club Pigs, What is Love?, Coal Miner Sadness, Dry Cleaner Hell, Knee JERK Politics, and Conner Buys a Condom to name a few. As well as initiating a weekly "trading jobs" with listeners in the community that started with the Mayor of Phoenix. Additionally, Conner encouraged a relationship with the sales team that would venture out with each salesperson in the effort to aid them with selling sponsorship for the station via his show. This bore fruit: Conner was the first talk show host in the history of that 7-10pm slot to ever have sponsor(s) . Conner returned to Albuquerque, and in early 2007 he created, produced and hosted a season's worth of weeknight The Scott Conner Talk & Variety Show(s) on CBS/KRQE. Fall/Winter 2007 Conner teamed up with Ronald McDonald House Charities (ABQ) to be the first person ever to place a television show for sale on eBAY. Bids reached a high of $1 million for a year's worth of programming (which fell shy of the set reserve). Conner is currently developing Seaons II of The Scott Conner Talk & Variety Show. Early career Tulsa Oklahoma 1985 Conner began his Entertainment career as a Fragrance Model at a local shopping mall. His first production job was as a Video Assist on a Weight Watcher yogurt commercial summer of 1986 (Phoenix, Arizona). A.O.F. years 1996 Conner co-founded "American Outback Film Works" with writer John D. Gandley, for the purposes of producing the feature film "Santa Fe Tales". This being Conner's debut as both Director and Producer under the tutelage of veteran producer Peter Griffith. Conner obtained letters of interest from actors Melanie Griffith, Judge Reinhold, Leland Crooke, Tracy Griffith, and the late Dana Plato to appear in his feature. 1998 Conner (President/CEO) partnered with then stage actor Michael L. Miller (V.P./CFO) to pursue the making of "Santa Fe Tales"; which led to incorporating the production company as "American Outback Films". 1999 Conner optioned the screenplay First Flight by digital effects master Joseph Conti, a feature film about a rag-tag team of inventors vying for the real life $10 million bounty awarded to the winner of the X-Prize". Soon afterward Conner and Miller (AOF team) went into development negations with SNL producer Robert K. Weiss. Due to creative differences, the AOF team chose to resume shopping the project to companies such as MPCA, Mirimax, Sony, HBO (etc.). In the interim, Conner picked up a brief representation by William Morris agent Cassian Elwes and his team leader Shaun Redick. Finally, Conner struck a second production deal with Tom Hamilton of Alpine Pictures. New Mexico film 2000 During the 44th State of New Mexico Legislative session, "Senate Bill 7" passed. This launched the State of New Mexico's Film Investment Fund. In turn three individuals were credited for birthing the current film and television boom: John Hendry (business agent for IATSE local 480) the author and driving force behind the SB7, State Senator Shannon Robinson the political influence that sponsored the SB7, and Conner the independent producer who's continuous campaigning (for nearly a year) of the New Mexico State Investment Council on behalf of New Mexico film-makers; which eventually pressured the S.I.C. to act on releasing the funds allocated for film investment via the granting of the State's first official production quorum to field Conner's production pitch (scheduled for February 2001) "First Flight". The candidate Peter Dekom was considered then hired per a round table discussion via a personal invitation from former New Mexico Gary Johnson. Additionally, during this time Conner, a regular attendee of the Santa Fe Film Group, originated the proposal of a "New Mexico Advisory Film Board" to oversee the Gate Keeper's policies and power. Politics 1993 Conner made a bid for Houston City Council district "H" seat at the age of 24; making him the youngest candidate (at that time) to seek political office in the history of the City of Houston. Artist Conner, an artist, made in the late 1980s and early 1990s (in Houston) abstract marble and granite sculptures. 1989 Conner originated a new art form called "Wrapton"; a process of colored wrapping paper, acrylic paint and face masks brought together as wall art. In 1992 Conner was commissioned to create the worlds largest "pen and ink" painting, measuring 5' x 5' of "Cassius Clay over Sonny Liston"; which launched his fine-art pointillist career that spanned into the late 1990s. During this time, Conner produced a series of Limited Edition Offset Lithographs, one of which "Warrior's Peace Song" became his signature piece (only 250 made). Conner's work was featured in Santa Fe's Rio Grande Fine Art Gallery on the Plaza, Michael McCormick Gallery in Taos, the Obv Oval Gallery in Madrid as well as a select few galleries along Santa Fe's prestigious Canyon Road, to name a few. As well as coverage in Southwest Magazine, Art Business News and State/local publications. Conner's work has hung alongside fellow artisans and friends JD Challenger, Pat Abbott, David Easter, Miguel Martinez, Malcolm Furlow, Doug Hyde, ARAH, R.C. Gorman, Linda Wasko and Pat Dalton to name a few. Conner's drew his early New Mexico inspiration from creative friends and artists such as Phyllis Kapp, the late Allan Houser, Bill Worrell and Michael Atkinson. Medical and healing arts 2001 Conner took a break from show business and pursued his long time interest in the healing arts by enrolling in the massage therapy program at U.T.M.I. After successfully graduating as a Myomassologist Family His farther was widely credited for creating the basic technology (electronic circuitry) which allows the transfer of data from a user interface (e.g., keyboard/mouse/push button) to a computing based entity (e.g., mother board/computer); via the creation of the "manually indexed electronic matching game" (US patent No# 4,095,785), and Sharon A. (Lantz) Conner, a homemaker and a descendant of Former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.
