Jeff Cardwell

Jeff Cardwell (born Jeffery L. Cardwell on December 7, 1959) is an American politician from Indianapolis, Indiana. He was first elected as a Indianapolis City-County Council member from the 23rd District on November 6, 2007, winning 73% of the vote. He is also Chairman of the Economic Development Committee. His district is located on the south side of Marion County and covers part of Perry Township. His district is one of the most Republican on council, representing a more conservative and rural portion of the county.
Cardwell was born in Morgantown, Kentucky but raised Indianapolis and graduated from Ben Davis High School. He graduated from the Indiana Wesleyan University in 1981.
