Wade Gent is an American attorney, judge, and state politician from Forney, Texas. He is a graduate of Kaufman High School in Kaufman, Texas, and is a founding member Kaufman County Young Republicans. Gent first ran as a Republican candidate for District 4 of the Texas House of Representatives, which encompasses the whole of Kaufman County and Henderson County. In 2006, he narrowly lost to incumbent Betty Brown. He has announced his candidacy for 2008 where he will once again face Brown in the Republican Primary. Professional background Gent holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Texas Tech University, and a Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University. Gent is the current Associate Municipal Judge for the City of Forney, Texas, and serves as the City Attorney for the cities of Scurry, Texas and Rosser, Texas. Family Gent's father, Wayne Gent, is the current County Judge in Kaufman County. In 2006, Gent's brother-in-law Rick Harrison, was elected to his first term as Kaufman County District Attorney.
