David J Neighbors

David John Neighbors (born June 17, 1961), an American Politician, is a Governing Board Member for the Berryessa Union School District.

Neighbors was born San José, California on June 17, 1961. His parents, Rondel Earl Neighbors, Sr. and Angela Gonzales Neighbors. He has two brothers, Ron Jr. and Glenn. Neighbors is a graduate of Indepndence High School, and later of San José State University with a B.S. in accounting and M.S. in Taxation and joined KPMG before joining Ernst & Young, LLP, a national accounting firm in 1994.
Neighbors was named to the Board of Directors of the Alum Rock Counseling Center in 1998. He was named to the Board of Trustees of The National Hispanic University in 2008. Neighbors became treasurer of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, Silicon Valley/San José in 2008 and president in 2011. He chaired the Rotary Club of San José East/Everygreen project to provide dictionaries to students at Toyon Elementary School in East San José. He also serves on the La Raza Roundtable of California, Story Road Business Association, Independece High School Academy of Finance Advisory Board, past member of the East Side Union High School District Audit Committee, past Chairman of the Berryessa Union School District Bond Oversight Committee and is a member of the Rotary Club in East San José.
Neighbors was born and raised as a Catholic. On November 21, 1998, he married Debra Vermeulen in a Catholic church ceremony.
Debra is an educator with the Berryessa Union School District. The couple have a daughter, Sara. Neighbors' brother Glenn is a Vietnam era veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force.
